Happy July from the Creative Arts Center!

Summer is in full swing, but you won’t see us breaking a sweat!

July’s Exhibit Opening and Celebration will be held at Open Mic Night & Potluck on Friday July 8th at 6pm. Bring a dish, bring a friend, and bring your talent to help us celebrate our “Potluck” themed gallery exhibit opening!
KNOT Your Mama’s Macrame will resume with 2 classes scheduled this month, Wednesday July 13th and Thursday July 28th! We will be working on beginner crafts to memorize the fundamental knots of macrame, but all levels are welcome to join us and larger projects are available for those interested.
The Bonham Quilt Hop is happening on July 29th and 30th, and the CAC is proud to be participating! Friday night at 6pm, we will be showing the 1995 film “How to Make an American Quilt” featuring Winona Ryder; admission is free and concessions will be available for purchase. Saturday, our very own Carrol Reese and Karen Sigler will be facilitating a Barn Quilt Square Workshop, and Leo Ransom will be sharing the art of Portrait Quilting! We will also have the East Gallery dedicated to displaying Leo Ransom’s portrait quilts, so be sure to come by! Deadline to register for the workshops is Wednesday 7/20/22.
We have expanded the Yoga schedule to include intermediate classes Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 8am, and still offer beginner classes on Tuesday evenings at 6pm.
Our youth Outreach Programs (TAO and Creative Kids) are currently on break for the summer, but classes will resume the first week in August. Enrollment of all students is required prior to the beginning of each series.
